Student Scholarships 

The Rural Planning Caucus of Virginia strongly supports those desiring to become practicing planners. Since 1999, the Rural Planning Caucus of Virginia has awarded over $14,000 to planning students attending Virginia's colleges with planning programs.  The scholarship award began as $500 and is now at $1,000 per year. The scholarship is awarded yearly at the annual conference and includes a free conference registration.   The award is a two-year scholarship available to undergraduate and graduate students and rotates among Virginia Tech, the University of Virginia and Virginia Commonwealth University after the two-year period.  

Student scholarship recipients are selected after working closely with each school’s planning department to find a deserving recipient.
